The 10 day itch....

I believe am a leader, or at least I try to be one. And most of my; leadership skills are based on from I have been influenced most…The Army and defence forces.

You can never get a better leadership school than the Armed forces, and though I was never allowed to join but yes I have imbibed the basic principals of them in my life and they will stand through the rest of it…

And that’s how I teach my men and train them, no margin of error, when you are involved with life and death,. That’s how I take it. Business is not too much different than fighting a war…

Well some guys stand and work with me and some leave me, mostly within 10 days of either them joining me or me asking questions to them…depends…

And believe me there are more guys who leave, rather than who decide to work with me. The reason I am a tough task-master and I don’t take any non-sense, coz I am myself no-nonsense guy. And when I give it all, I demand the same from everyone else..

So it’s a 10 day itch for everyone, when I start working them or leading them…

So guys leave in a couple of days.. And some in 24 hours…

There is one hilarious tale to tell-: almost about a couple of years back we hired some new sales exec and one of them joined us and was waiting whole day, basically seeing how things go.. The days were tough and going was not smooth and so all of us were sitting in the office till late, trying to achieve our numbers and I was leading my men..

So there was commotion and flares rising all around, as I was firing everybody and emotions were rising…I just asked about that guy, as he was sitting on the reception as to who he was…Somebody told me that he joined today only and going by the expression of his face, I told somebody that he wont come tomorrow to work, and that’s what happened….
We still laugh to that day…

So people, who have survived beyond 10 days with me, are all now seasoned fighters and they know that “Impossible is nothing”, that’s what I have taught them…

The rest, they are gone and for good..
