Hurrah!!!! Holidays ahead.....

I dont remember when I was so much excited about holidays sice long??

It was always work and work and even during holidays, tensions and stress about work. But this time, I am excited just like a school-boy and remembering my old school days....

So I would be leaving for Pune, my home in few hours and chill for 5 full days(I still cant believe my luck on getting full 5 days leave).

The biggest draw is that I would get to drive the swanking new Honda City car of my sis, which she bought a couple of days back, in fact am having butterflies in my stomach, like a school kid...

And I will chill, read all newspapers, go for swim, eat and eat the home made food, would go for a long drive in the new car and yes, catch up on some stress-free sleep, Would cook for my sis and bro-in-law(who love my veg-pulav)....

And am on cloud number 9 guys....

I love you Maggi !!!

Well, at first instance people reading the heading of my this blog will take it as a proclamation of my love for some girl known as Maggi, but it isnt.

What I am talking about is my eternal love for Maggi Noodles of Nestle. I love it and I can eat tonnes of it ( I did when I was in college and even now) and the fact is that I dont get bored of it!!

The love affair started some 20 odd years back, I remember and will continue forever, guess.

The reason for writing a blog on this all of a sudden is that, a few days back in my office canteen, they had Maggi on the menu, for evening snacks and boy, I was delighted. So we ordered for it and I absolutely relished it , like always.

Next day, we again went in the evening to have tea and boy again that tempting sign was there, so I again slipped for that...(I am never in the habit of having lunch, let alone evening snacks). So you can imagine my fascination for Maggi!!

To top it all, when I went yesterday at the canteen, the Chef recognised me and s…

My man at UN !!!

A few days back there was a lot of commotion in this country over the election of new Secretary General of UN. The reason was that one of our countryman was running for the post and was the hot -favourite for the job till the last moment, but like not all things end well, the poor guy has to opt of the race.

Well, everyone knows Mr. Shashi Tharoor now, if they dint ealier.

But here, am not talking about him. Its one of my best friends and my batch-mate of college, Ramit Basu.

And yes, he is my guy at UN and am very proud of him.

I sincerely feel that he is one of the best suited for a job at UN, person who can do something worthwhile at the largest beaureacratic organisation in the world(I always tease Ramit with this word). A very active person for anything involving social issues, has worked in lot many NGOs. Someone who is really compassionate about the various social issues plaguing India and world at large.

With his new found role(Well, he is not that much young at UN), I am very conf…

Pappu pass ho gaya!!!

Well, So "Pappu" passed the test once again...

In fact, Was the first to complete the test and came out of the exam hall. Set the alarm at 4am today but got up at 6.46 am.

There was hardly any time to study for the test, so just got ready and while reaching office, just went through the notes....Reminder of old times during my engg. days when we used to revise the notes while riding pillion to the college.

So it was not a bad performance at all......

So still in the job, intact!!!

Apni to Paathshala, Masti ki pathshala!!!!

Once a year in my present organisation, we have to appear in a test, in which it is mandatory to pass, otherwise you are transferred to some other department.

So here again I am sitting with a big bunch of process notes from which the questions are supposed to be asked.
The fact is that it has been more than a year since I have been managing this business, but have seen all these notes for the first time(Guess, happens everywhere)....So am studying again...And simultaneously have to prepare a sales plan for some new launches!!!

My Boss have entrusted me with the task of studying all the notes and then to disburse the knowledge that I have gained(If I manage to gain ie, which is a big task).

Well, its gonna be two long nights till 11th morning when the test starts, and so along with my own employment, those of my team-mates and my Boss(He he , now I can black-mail him) is at stake on my preparation...

So here I am......Apni to paathshala....Masti ki paathshaala..

All the President's men.....

And most of them were there, some like Rajesh was far away in Goa and Blaize was still reaching his office back, way late in the night.

What I am talking about is the get together organised yesterday by my ex-boss of one of the companies in which I worked previously. And the man in question, yes the man, is Mr. Ramesh Santhagopalan. The occasion was that recently he joined as RSM with one of the biggest multi-national on this planet and so just planned a get-together.

I met Boss(He was and will always be)fou years back when I landed in Mumbai as a novice to the company and as well as the trade which I had join. And I was asked to report to this guy who was my line manager. This not so tall, thin frame had something which made me pay attention to him immediately. Guess you are easily attracted to a leader, and thats what his hallmark was.

I joined at a crucial stage when there was huge pressure to achieve targets because of festive season and the way he carried and motivated a baby like m…

Impossible is Nothing !!!

If somebody coined this phrase. then it would not have been out of blue or from a bout of insanity..

In one of my earlier blogs, I have cited a few more example related to this phrase and guess I would always keep on writing this prase, as this is what makes a common mortal man like me, to keep on fighting.

I myself cant believve that I am writing this blog on my communicator, sitting inside the 9.04am Churchgate local!!!

Yes, Ladies and Genlemen, I am comfortably sitting in the 9.04 am Local and am in fact writing. It took me 4 years, yes 4 years to be in Bombay and travelling everyday by the Local to achieve this feat.

And am elated to say the least, in fact am on cloud number 9.
What happened today was in fact that I standing a bit close to the tracks and in the melee which ensues got pushed inside quuite early than the rest....And here I am enjoying my first victory in last 4 years...

Ladies and Gentlemen, Impossible is Nothing!!
